  Jolene's Book and Writers Talk Back on the Air after Hurricane Idalia Our experience with the third hurricane I have ridden out or is it the fourth. It is the first one going through my brother's home area in over 100 years thought. We were so lucky in that we had quite a few large water oaks come down all around the house by only one did any damage. Tony, his friends and Katie and Jason worked hard and fast to get us back under cover. I filed with FEMA and hopefully we will get a grant to put the siding back onto the house and a roof over the house. The trees are another story. They got most of the out of the driveways and across the road side of the property. Every day they do a little more on the back part of the property. There is some big old logs out there that can probably become a house if they can get their logging sawmill going sometime soon.   Jolenes Book and Writers Talk - Episode 10 - Author Marie Q Rogers  - award winning North Florida author of young adult sci-fi and regular fiction. Ms. Rogers is the past and current chairperson of the Sunshine State Book Festival. The has 4 published books and working on her 5th one now. She does have two stories on Kindle Vella which we will be talking more about, the SSBF 2024 as well as the Writers Alliance of Gainesville.

These interviews are so much fun to record. Not so much to edit and upload though. It still takes me around 10 hours per show to edit, add the little touches and add the captions. Even though this was one of the first of the podcast episodes that I recorded, Vickey Wollan asked to be posted on July 12, 2023. She is the Newsletter creator for the First Coast Romance Writers group each month as well as sending out her own author's newspaper.  It was a great session even though it took a while to edit. When you commit to this type of enterprise there are a lot of hours you will do extra just to get the up and posted.
