Challenges for March 2023 - Social Media

Image
Challenges for March 2023 - Social Media Fun with AI I have been scrambling for the last couple of days to make sure I get enough applications in to keep qualified for my training in the Google IT Certificate program with the payment forbearance program. Finding remote employment with a non-profit that pays at least $40,000 for entry-level employees is the ultimate goal. In the meantime, I still have my one volunteer project that needs to be wrapped up by March the first and a continuing project that I still haven't quite got a handle on the routine of the thing.  More than likely with the way things are going it will take at least 6 months to a year. In the meantime, I have to apply for Social Security benefits early in order to finally bring some money in to get my bills paid off. Wish me luck, I am going to need it. Check out the upcoming NERFA announcement. For those fellow authors out there with romance genre books published in 2022, there is a great contest to give a try. Na

Southern Women Crafts - Changes to Our Tye-Dye TShirts

We are closing down the hand tye-dye t-shirt line as my youngest daughter is taking that business with her when she moves down south next month. She does an excellent job creating these tees and has fun experimenting with the different methods. To help her with the expenses of moving and to get some new supplies to create more cool, vibrant designs when she gets set-up we are offering 25% OFF all her designs from today until March 1, 2023 when she must leave.

Full Cast Narration - Like it or Not

Full-cast narrations of books reminds me a lot of the old-time radio shows. You can download them for FREE on the internet and I truly enjoy listening to them on occasion. While pursuing another book at my local library I can across this one and decided to give it a try. Great fun but it was only an hour long.  I am curious as to how much something like this costs? From the little information I have gathered so far it seems that the author, Gail Carriger, did a Kickstarter or something similar to help fund the production. Now that I have listened to, "The Curious Case of the Werewolf that Wasn't", I am going to have to read the paperback version to see what, if anything, is different. I imagine the writer had to create script for the voice actors to follow or perhaps the company created it for her. I am in the process of following up with the company who did the production and 2 others I could find as a comparison. Check out my Southern Dragon Publishing blog for more inf

Jolene Doing Amazon Author Math

There is so much I can say about this little problem for authors. What the solution is I am not sure. But it needs to be discussed that is for sure.
