Still More Holiday Romance Fun with Gloria Ferguson's Story called Recipe for Romance

Image
Still More Holiday Romance Fun with Gloria Ferguson's Story called Recipe for Romance inside the For the Love of Winter Anthology.  When Ashley McClain asks her bah-humbug friend for his family’s frosting recipe to perfect her late mom’s Christmas cupcakes and win the Holiday Bake-Off, Mr. Scrooge refuses. Can Ashley persuade him to reveal the secret ingredients in the nick of time? Or will the unlikely pair join forces when friends become lovers and receive Christmas blessings? Working for the Romance Writers of America organization I help the authors and the projects by creating short, fun videos to share on their social media accounts. And in Ms. Ferguson's case, I created a quick book cover as well.  Happy Holiday!

Protecting your published works is probably one of the easiest business related things you can do as an indie author. Now the https://copyright.gov office has a small claims division to help self-published authors who have experienced their books being pirated. However, you only get this protection if you have already registered your books before they have been stolen. We call it insurance for self-published authors and for the low price of $45/$55 per book for the lifetime of the author plus 70 years I think it is worth it.

Gone Before Their Time Janie Bolitho (1 January 1950 - 3 October  2002 ) By Lynne Patrick It’s something of a cliché among pundits that authors follow an eclectic working life before, and often during, their writing career, though to the majority of other writers, this comes as no surprise. Even among regularly published novelists, earning a living is frequently a separate endeavor from writing, and can take many different forms.  Click on the link above to read the entire article

Writing Real Characters In Your Fiction Stories

Image
One of my favorite writers is J.A. Jance speaks about her writing process. She writes about people and places that she has known in situations that she has some experiences with. This type of writing resonants with more of her readers. So much so they have asked her how this character or that character is going to do about this or that problem. The video is originally from 1994 but was not posted to YouTube until Feb 2022. [A DISCUSSION WITH National Authors on Tour Episode #104 - 1994 The author of LYING IN WAIT and FAILURE TO APPEAR, as well as several books in the "Joanna Brady" mystery series; interviewed by educator/commentator Steve Benson] Even though this is an older video it is still so relevant today.
