Full Cast Narration - Like it or Not

Full-cast narrations of books reminds me a lot of the old-time radio shows. You can download them for FREE on the internet and I truly enjoy listening to them on occasion. While pursuing another book at my local library I can across this one and decided to give it a try. Great fun but it was only an hour long. 

I am curious as to how much something like this costs? From the little information I have gathered so far it seems that the author, Gail Carriger, did a Kickstarter or something similar to help fund the production. Now that I have listened to, "The Curious Case of the Werewolf that Wasn't", I am going to have to read the paperback version to see what, if anything, is different. I imagine the writer had to create script for the voice actors to follow or perhaps the company created it for her.
